Our History
Founded in 2018 in Marlboro, New Jersey, The Parisian Tea Room was born from the creative vision of fashion designer and entrepreneur Karen Elizabeth Lozner, who dreamed of bringing the romance of Parisian elegance and the glamour of a bygone era to the traditional afternoon tea experience.
Inspired by her travels to Paris, her love of fashion, and the golden age of 1930s Hollywood, Karen reimagined the classic British tradition of afternoon tea with a distinctly French influence, creating an intimate and luxurious setting where fashion, gastronomy, and timeless sophistication come together.
What began as a unique destination in New Jersey evolved into The Parisian Tea Room in Manhattan’s historic Garment District, where Karen continues to bring her artistic vision to life through elegant interiors, thoughtfully presented cuisine, and a passion for exceptional hospitality.
From its beginnings, The Parisian Tea Room has celebrated the beauty of tradition while embracing creativity and modern refinement.

Step into another era, where the romance of Paris meets the feminine sophistication of Old Hollywood.
Inspired by the golden age of 1930s Hollywood glamour, The Parisian Tea Room captures the beauty of a time when elegance was an art form. Crystal chandeliers, romantic interiors, delicate details, and an atmosphere of understated luxury evoke the charm of an intimate Parisian salon.
Our inspiration is not simply to recreate the past, but to bring its timeless beauty into the present.
Guests are invited to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, and our signature Afternoon Tea and High Tea experiences, with beautifully presented cuisine prepared with care and attention to detail.
We also welcome guests for special celebrations, including birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, fashion collaborations, and intimate gatherings.
Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a beautiful afternoon, The Parisian Tea Room offers an escape from the ordinary, where every visit is an opportunity to experience a little romance, beauty, and Parisian charm.

Karen Elizabeth Lozner: Fashion Designer, Entrepreneur & Founder
A graduate of New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology, Karen Elizabeth Lozner studied Fashion Design and has worked with renowned fashion brands, including DKNY.
As the founder of Karen’s School of Fashion and Karen Elizabeth Couture, she has dedicated her career to the artistry of design, creativity, and timeless elegance.
The Parisian Tea Room is an extension of that passion, bringing together her love of fashion, French culture, beautiful interiors, and fine dining into one distinctive experience.

To ensure a wonderful experience for all of our guests, we kindly ask that a minimum spend be observed per guest:
• Monday – Thursday: $25 per guest
• Friday – Sunday: $35 per guestDuring peak periods, reservations are allotted up to 90-minute dining experience. This allows us to thoughtfully welcome all guests and provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy the space. We truly appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to The Parisian Tea Room.
Important dining information
We have a 15 minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes after your reservation time.We may contact you about this reservation, so please ensure your email and phone number are up to date.
For reservations:
This restaurant requires a credit card to secure this reservation. All credit card information will be processed securely. After your dining experience, for your convenience, there will be a 20% gratuity fee. Changes to this reservation can be made online through OpenTable up until 5 days before the reservation. No-shows or cancellations less than 5 days in advance may be subject to a charge of $50.00 per person. No-show or other charges to the card on file for this reservation will incur a 2% OpenTable service fee.We reserve the right to cancel your reservation when the “in House” number of guest is not met.

About Karen Lozner
Karen Lozner, founder of The Parisian Tea Room and Karen’s School of Fashion, is a Manhattan-born designer, educator, and entrepreneur with a passion for creativity and connection. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Karen began her career working with top brands like DKNY and later founded her fashion school, nurturing young talent in New York and New Jersey. Inspired by her students, she launched The Parisian Tea Room, an immersive dining experience that blends French elegance with artistic flair, attracting celebrities and creatives alike. Karen continues to expand her vision with plans for L’Étoile de Paris, a cabaret dining experience, and dreams of bringing her design school to Paris, all while staying true to her mission of inspiring imagination, beauty, and meaningful connections.
